Feng Shui House

The home is a major renovation of an existing home on a very steep site. One of the requirements was that the house be designed following the principles of Feng Shui, which informed the location and illumination of the main spaces and provided a very special set of constraints for the design. The great room and kitchen are located in the upper level to capture views of Lake Washington. A connection between the entrance and the great room is resolved by creating an ample, double-height entry space.
